The estate S. Lucia in Faulle, where the Castello dei Rampolla wine is produced, is in the southern valley of Panzano, so called “Conca d’Oro” . It has been owned by the di Napoli Rampolla’s since 1739
From 1964 Alceo di Napoli devoted himself to grape growing.
The property consist of over 32 hectares of primes site vineyard in Panzano, a village with highest concentration of top estates of any part of the Chianti. Principal varieties are Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The farm is completely Biodynamic since 1994 and uses only its own grapes.
The winemaking is in concrete vats, terra-cotta jars; the ageing in wood, concrete and “terracotta”; the “affinamento” in bottle.
