"Fermented with 50% whole berries in a 1,200-liter oak vat for 3.5 years and bottled without sulfur, fining and filtration, the bright golden-colored 2018 Nothing – Riesling ohne alles wasn't pressed and was bottled in July last year (2022). The nose is pure, fresh and stony in its mineral expression that also delivers ripe white seed and stone fruit aromas to the nose. Pure, fresh and finessed on the palate, this is a filigreed, stimulatingly salty and concentrated Riesling with a long and intense finish. Tasted at the domain in November 2022.

In early January, I tasted the same wine again. Now, the Nothing tasted like a dry Mosel Riesling: pure and tight yet filigreed, very bright and with great finesse. Creamy textured yet vital and lithe on the palate with good tannin grip, the 2018 showed as an elegant and complex natural Riesling with a dry finish. Very good.
