Doing biodynamic viticulture means rediscover old traditions, abandoned to make room for an uprooted agriculture. Alicante Nero represents our way of being winemakers: an indigenous grape of Alta Maremma, which had been replaced with other varieties, richer in colors and with more imposing bodies.

We brought it back home, to its land, in 2003, strongly believing that this could be the truest and most authentic grape to express the Mediterranean Maremma.

We were right: today it is one of our most precious gems. Our vineyards in La Pieve are the ideal habitat: the clay soils, mixed with pebbles and puddings, give delicacy, lightness and a harmonious character.
