Kristinus Wine Estate is located in Kéthely on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, Hungary and has been producing Demeter quality wines.
We cultivate healthy grapes in a biodynamic and sustainable way, from which we make unique, individual wines. Our goal is to step back: to influence nature’s raw materials as little as possible.
Since 2018 the estate has been managed biodynamically and has embraced a holistic approach to viticulture, prioritising minimal intervention and ecological harmony.

Early September harvest. Varieties were processed and fermented individually. Olaszrizling was partially on the mash, partially on whole bunch for 5-7 days in amphora. bunch for 5-7 days in amphorae. Certification:
Destemmed Sauvignon Blanc was soaking on whole berries in clay for a few days. Batches were kept on the fine lees for 10 months.

Furmint has become a defining variety of Hungarian wine culture. With “Kelet” (meaning East), we aim to express the pure character of our monopole vineyard, Vereb-domb.(Sparrow Hill)
Hand-harvested, Demeter-certified fruit; rigorously sorted and fully destemmed. Two-thirds of the must underwent a 24-hour cold soak prior to gentle pressing, followed by fermentation in amphora. The remaining one-third was macerated for 10 days, including 5% whole clusters to enhance structure and aromatic complexity.
All lots were aged on fine lees in amphora for 18 months, without fining and with minimal sulfur addition.

Szürkebarát meaning “Grey Friar” in Hungarian and known internationally as Pinot Gris is a long-standing friend of our estate. Our 2-hectare vineyard lies on a gently sloping site, surrounded by small forests and oriented west to southwest. This unique combination - proximity to the lake, forest influence, and its cooler exposition creates a distinct microclimate. Even in warmer vintages, these conditions help preserve freshness, yielding fruit that is vibrant, crisp, and well-balanced. Hand picked Demeter Grapes, sorted and destemmed, some days of skin maceration, 18 month aged in Amphora.

ANALOG is a blend of selected varieties from our biodynamically farmed vineyards. Conceived as an estate white blend, it is crafted to express the essence of our terroir and to reflect the character of the site as a whole. Hand picked Demeter Grapes, sorted and destemmed, some days of skin maceration, partly in Amphoras and stainless steel tank.

2024 Pinot Noir - Kulczer

Our Pinot Noir comes from the “Kulczer” vineyard, a 40-year-old plantation situated at around 160 meters elevation on a gentle hillside in the softly rolling, colorful landscape of Somogy County. The site is surrounded by old oak forests, meadows, and small fields, forming a highly biodiverse ecosystem. It is also home to our grazing sheep and free-range chickens.
Hand picked Demeter Grapes, sorted and destemmed, two weeks of skin maceration, 18 months aged in Amphora.

Our Kekfrankos is a typical variety of the pannonian valley here at lake Balaton area. Also know as blaufränkisch at our neighborhood in Burgenland. Our Kekfrankos likes the terroir here with the influence of the big lake and warm days and chilled nights. Its one of the signature grapes of Kristinus.
Hand picked Demeter Grapes, sorted and destemmed, one week of skin maceration in big Stockinger oak cask, 24 month aged Stockinger Casks and Amphora.
