Kallstadter Saumagen
Riesling
White wine
One of the most famous Grand Cru sites in the Pfalz region. Marl lime mixed with countless small limestone rocks characterizes the soil in this small basin, facing south/south-east. Hand harvested and carefully whole-cluster pressed. Wild yeast fermented and aged on the lees for 9 months, in stainless steel and big wooden ("Halbstück") casks. No fining or other technical additives. Driven by its limestone terroir – spicy, with a chalky texture and long ageing potential.
