Villa Santo Stefano is the choice of Wolfgang Reitzle who, after many years as manager of the most important car manufacturers in Germany and the USA, has decided to produce his own organic wine and olive oil in Lucca. Reitzle´s passion for Tuscany led him to buy Villa Santo Stefano in 2001 with his wife Nina Ruge, a well-known journalist and author. The first vintage of the flagship Supertuscan wine Loto was released in 2006. The main principle of the estate, which also includes a space dedicated to hospitality, is a technological and environmentally conscious management. Starting from 2022 Villa Santo Stefano raised to 18 hectares of vineyards divided between Lucchesia and Maremma, producing a total of about 60,000 bottles of wine, together with 5 hectares of olive grove for 1,500 liters of extra virgin olive oil. Today the winery produces four red wines, one white wine and one rose wine.
