The Sant'Eusanio vineyard is undoubtedly the most representative part of the terroir of altitude in Valle Reale. In the vintage 2011 we decided that our Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo cru was ready to born. Despite the small amount of grapes available ,we make two separate vinifications: the first in the tradition of an important Cerasuolo and the second in the subversive austerity of the Montepulciano Sant'Eusanio. In this verrsion called cersuolo d'abruzzo “giorno” which means “day”, the grapes are harvested in the late morning and vinified in rosé with a 3 hour aceration in contact with the skins. Alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously and without thermal control, making yeasts in the wood treasure.
